Trade-In/Sell Your Games

Turn Your Old Games Into Cash, Credit, or Your Next Adventure
Have video games, consoles, accessories, or collectibles sitting in storage? Power Up Gaming buys and trades gaming collections from customers across Canada, with in-store options in Barrie and online options available for qualifying collections.
Why Sell to Power Up Gaming?
We have been part of the gaming community for over a decade, buying, selling, testing, cleaning, and refurbishing video games, consoles, and accessories every day. We understand the market, we understand condition, and we know the difference between common shelf stock and a genuinely exciting find.
Our goal is to make the selling process straightforward, fair, and low-stress. Whether you are clearing out a few extras or looking to sell a larger collection, we will review your items and provide an offer based on current market value, condition, completeness, demand, and our current stock levels.
Fair Market Offers
Offers are based on resale value, condition, completeness, current demand, and how quickly we expect the item to move.
Fast, Simple Process
Bring your items in-store or email us a detailed list. We will guide you through the next steps without the marketplace chaos.
Gaming Experts
We work with games and consoles every day, from retro cartridges to modern systems, handhelds, accessories, and collectibles.
Choose the Payment Option That Works for You
Depending on the items, value, and whether the trade is completed in-store or online, we may offer different payment options.
Cash
Available for approved in-store trades only. Walk in with games, walk out with cash when the offer is accepted.
Store Credit
Store credit is often the best value option and may include a flexible bonus depending on the items and situation.
E-Transfer
Mailed-in product purchases are paid by e-transfer once the items are received, inspected, and approved.
How to Sell Your Items
Option 1: Visit Us In-Store
Bring your games, consoles, or accessories to our Barrie retail store and our team will review them. For many trades, we can provide an offer the same day.
Option 2: Sell Online
If you are not local, email us a detailed list of what you have. For qualifying collections, we may provide a prepaid shipping label.
Option 3: Larger Collections
Have a bigger collection? Send us a clear list and your rough expectations. Large collections may take longer to evaluate properly.

How We Price Trade-Ins
Trade values are based on more than just what an item sells for online. We look at the full picture so we can make an offer that makes sense for both the customer and the store.
Condition
Scratches, label wear, missing pieces, case damage, disc condition, box condition, and overall cleanliness can all affect value.
Completeness
Manuals, inserts, original cases, boxes, cables, controllers, and accessories can increase or decrease the final offer.
Current Demand
Items that are popular, rare, or fast-moving may receive stronger offers than items with slower resale demand.
Current Stock
If we already have many copies of an item, the offer may be lower until our current inventory moves.
Testing and Refurbishing
Some items require cleaning, resurfacing, repair, testing, parts, or extra labour before they can be resold.
Resale Reality
Online asking prices do not always reflect actual selling price, fees, shipping costs, condition differences, or how long an item may sit.
Pricing is subject to condition, authenticity, completeness, current inventory, market demand, estimated turnover time, testing requirements, refurbishing needs, and other factors. We do our best to explain our offers clearly, and you are always welcome to ask questions if something seems unclear.
Email Us Your Trade List
To get started online, email us at trades@powerupgaming.ca with the items you would like to sell or trade.
Please include:
- Your location in Canada
- Whether you want e-transfer payment or store credit
- A detailed list of games, consoles, and accessories
- The condition of the items
- Whether anything is missing, damaged, untested, or not working
- A rough idea of what you are hoping to get for the collection
- Photos only for rare, expensive, boxed, damaged, or condition-sensitive items
For most common items, please do not send a large number of photos right away. A clear written list is usually the fastest way for us to start the evaluation. If photos are needed, we will ask for them.
Email trades@powerupgaming.caA Few Important Notes
All offers are subject to final inspection and verification. If items arrive in a different condition than described, are missing components, are damaged, are counterfeit, are not working, or do not match the submitted list, the offer may be adjusted or declined.
Customers selling or trading items to Power Up Gaming confirm that they are the legal owner of the items and have the right to sell or trade them.
Power Up Gaming may request identification for in-store trades and may keep trade-in records as part of our normal business process. We may cooperate with law enforcement where required or reasonably appropriate in connection with theft, fraud, or suspected illegal activity.
