Description
As a pack-in game for the Sega CD toward the end of the system's short life, Sega Classics: Arcade Collection features five Sega Genesis favorites on one disc. These include Golden Axe, Streets of Rage, Revenge of Shinobi, Super Monaco GP and Columns.
In Golden Axe, take the guise of an axe-wielding dwarf, a sword-toting male warrior or a magically inclined amazon in the struggle to defeat Death Adder. In addition to destroying enemies with your weapons and magic, this game also enables you to mount the beasts of enemies whom you have defeated. Notably, however, this version of Golden Axe lacks the two-player option.
Choose from three streetwise former cops in Streets of Rage as you attempt to rid the city's streets of the punks and thugs that overpopulate them. As Adam Hunter, Axel Stone or Blaze Fielding you'll punch and kick your way through multiple stages of battles with these menaces to society. Two players can play simultaneously in this title.
After killing your sensei and kidnapping your girlfriend, Neo Zeed is trying to take over the world in Revenge of Shinobi. As the ninja Musashi, you'll throw your shurikens and use your ninja magic as you battle through eight stages of Neo Zeed's henchmen.
Super Monaco GP seats you behind the wheel of a Formula-1 racer as you race your way to the world title in a series of 16-car, three-lap races. A unique feature enables you to choose a rival.
Often referred to as "Sega's Tetris," Columns is a puzzle game in which the object is to line up similarly colored jewels that fall from the top of the screen in groups of three. This game features two-player, split-screen action.
